What type of industries do you cover?

Any sector that services the needs of tourists visiting the region, in addition to domestic tourists from within the region. We cover accommodation/food; transport; tours; reservations; information services; visitor attractions and entertainment.

Do you offer courses in all the industries mentioned above?

Yes, we cover the full range. Please view our courses section to see the full range of courses on offer.

What are the entry requirements?

It really depends on what level you are entering at. Level 2 qualifications generally don’t require any formal qualifications whilst level 3 generally requires specific GCSEs at grade C or above, however this may be waived depending on your experience.

Are the qualifications nationally recognised?

Yes, they are all nationally recognised and validated by awarding bodies such as Edexcel and City and Guilds.

Can you deliver on the job training?

Yes, there are many apprenticeships available within these industries and if your organisation has any special requirements we can deisgn and provide tailor-made courses to meet your needs.

How long do the courses last?

It depends upon the type of training that you require. For example, we offer one day courses in basic food hygiene and first aid, however most courses will take longer. It may take up to 2 years to achieve a full qualification in Travel and Tourism.

Where do I need to go to attend these courses?

We have a number centres around the region, from Berwick in the North to Northallerton in the South of the region. Please view our centres page for more information.
