The Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Inbound and Domestic Tourism Services is a partnership between Northumberland College, Northumberland Training Agency and the North East Chamber of Commerce. This is the first 'public-private' collaborative CoVE and only one of 15 nationally-recognised Tourism CoVE’s in the UK.

Each partner has their own expertise. Northumberland College has an excellent reputation for offering full-time and part-time courses in Travel and Tourism while Northumberland Training Agency and the NECC deliver high quality work place learning in the form of apprenticeships and NVQs. Together, the partnership are working to provide tailor-made courses for the Tourism industry which include customer service and selling skills as well as the more traditional courses currently on offer.
