Schools

Northumberland College is the College for Northumberland. It is the only education and training institution that offers training from campuses that cover Northumberland. We have two main campuses, in Ashington and at Kirkley Hall near Ponteland. We also have smaller sites in Blyth, Alnwick and Berwick. In addition to these centres, we also have a 'bus' service that is able to provide courses in a limited range of subjects to most rural areas.
We also work in partnership with others to make use of a wide variety of other locations to deliver courses. Examples are the Shilbottle Skills Centre, the Cheviot Centre in Wooler and premises in Seahouses, Choppington and Lynemouth.
We are currently working in conjunction with the Tyne Valley high schools on a brand-new concept, the Tynedale Virtual College. This will firstly be centred at a training centre in Prudhoe.
For those people who cannot get to any of sites we have a range of courses that can be taken by distance learning.
